My Journey

the milky way

I have been counselling clients for many years, both during my 20+ year career as a registered massage therapist (RMT), and my 10 years offering intuitive readings. I am a Reiki Master and Master Practitioner in NLP (NeuroLinguistic Programming – 10 month program), with a BA in Psychology and Sociology, and as of June 2024, a Master’s degree in Counselling. I have studied a variety of healing modalities including Reflexology, Craniosacral Therapy, EMF Balancing, Conscious Core Transformation, Akashic Record Reading, Mediumship, and Therapeutic Touch. I have also facilitated workshops and groups on topics related to both spiritual and personal growth, as well as facilitating meditation groups, women’s spiritual development groups, and most recently, grief support groups for young widows and widowers.

I was inspired to return to school to pursue a Master’s degree to fill a gap I saw in the counselling landscape during my own search for a counsellor. I couldn’t find a clinical counsellor who actively invited my spiritual experiences and beliefs into the counselling room, and who possessed the experience and knowledge necessary to support and guide me. In effect, I’ve become the counsellor I was looking for.

There are many paths to the truth, and the trick is finding out which path is meant for us and then having the courage to walk it. Personal growth isn’t for everyone. Some people are quite content with their lives and have no desire to go digging into their “stuff”. I am not one of those people. I have always been a seeker and am intrigued by the human experience and what makes us tick. The work I do is reflective of my passion for personal and spiritual growth, both my own and that of others. My spirituality is an integral part of who I am, and I understand the importance of having a safe space to explore that aspect of ourselves.

Originally from Toronto, I have lived in various cities across Canada including Kingston, St. John’s, Kamsack, Nelson, and now, Victoria, where I live with my husband and our very handsome ginger tabby named Sook.
